ENGINE/CHASSIS.
The Forester houses a 2.0 litre DOHC Subaru boxer engine. An electric motor mounted on the Foresters gearbox allows the wheels to be driven electrically and charges the lithium ion batteries when driving and braking. The horizontally opposed engine configuration reduces the cars centre of gravity, increasing stability and control on the road.
