Front Suspension Arm Example:

A knocking sound from front suspension Discovery 3, mostly noticeable at low speed, drive vehicle forward and in reverse applying foot brake. If you hear a clonk as soon as the brake pedal is depressed then it is likely to be the lower suspension arm bushes.

Rear Lower Suspension Arm Example:

Signs of uneven tyre wear and the rear of the car will feel insecure is a common sign of the rear suspension bushes failing. There will often be a knock when cornering or driving over bumps.
